God's Grace and Blessings

I can't believe that Cade is already over a week old!!! I have so many things that I want to write so I don't forget this precious time that it is hard to know what to start with.

I have to say that I have been totally overwhelmed by God's Grace and Blessings in our life. It has hit me many times how unworthy we are, but that is what grace is...God giving us what we don't deserve.

My pregnancy went very well...even being 10 days overdue I never felt real uncomfortable, and it gave Kirk a chance to finish some important things at work. The labor and delivery went WAY better than I ever dreamt. Thanks to Kirk and my mom for all of their support and encouragement. Thanks to all the people who were praying and inquiring! Thanks to Kirk for keeping everyone up to date and working so hard on the website. Cade is so blessed to have you as a father. Thanks to everyone who stopped by at the hospital and afterward at home to visit. We calculated that there were 42 people who came to the hospital to meet Cade. WOW!

This week has gone very well too. Cade is a good baby, although I am told that that could change!:) I have received much support and advice from family and friends and I know that that has helped our transition from a 2 to 3 member family. In the moments that have been more challenging Kirk has been a wonderful support and the fact that he was home all last week was great.

All this to say that I am learning more of God's overflowing blessings on His children. We covet all of your prayers, and we pray that our family would be glorifying to God and a reflection of Christ.

Everyone says it "goes so fast" and I already feel that way. I am enjoying being home and just taking lots of time with Cade. We miss daddy during the day, but we appreciate how hard he works so that I can stay home.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this special time!

I have a strong urge to post comic comments, but I almost feel as if my wife is behind me with a hot iron prod telling me not to. (she's not)

Congratulations you guys! I realize that no one is perfect, but I am still amazed at how strong a Christian couple (and hopefully baby) you guys are. I'm honored to call you friends and I pray many more blessings will anoint your lives.
