Healing

We went to the specialist again on Monday, December 6th. The doctor said that Cade was a "different kid" than what he had seen 3 weeks earlier. His breathing is clear and he has no more retractions. He also is thriving in his weight where he has gained 18 ounces in the last 2 weeks.

We were pleased but not that surprised by the doctor's comments. Cade has been getting progressively louder with his crying in the last weeks. He has been grunting less and there have been SO many people praying. The doctor did not put a scope down his nose this time so we don't know if he is on his way toward being healed or if he is already completely healed. We will be going back in 4 months when he is 6 months old and then he will put a scope down his nose to find out for-sure. In all of this we give all the glory to God in Cade's very quick healing.

Cade is a very happy baby and overall quite content. It was amazing how good he was as I was recovering from surgery. He was maybe even a little too easy on Kirk:). I am feeling normal now and can eat normally again. We are enjoying being a family. Cade has now graduated to his crib, and I have left the couch. It is amazing that he is already over 8 weeks and almost 2 months.

For each of you that have prayed for Cade...you have given him and us a bigger gift than anything else you could have done or given. To God be the glory.
