Camper

It has never been hidden that Kirk really enjoys tent camping, and I really could do without it. We did venture out with Cade several times last year, but I was always concerned that he was too hot or cold and how he would sleep etc. Well, it was recently evident to me that camping was not going to be a passing phase for Kirk. I have always been able to appreciate the thought of family camping...fun times together, boys get to experience adventure and exploring, overcoming obstacles together and enjoying God's creation. My problem was tenting in any other conditions rather than sunny with no precipitation and at least 60 degrees at night. I am such an outdoors woman! So began our search for a tent trailer.

When Kirk gets something in his mind that is all he can do, and I must admit it was somewhat contagious. Suddenly we found ourselves on duling laptops looking on Ebay for campers. We also looked at some campers in person. We bid on a couple of trailers and were outbid as we low balled the price. We also didn't want to have to travel to all ends of the earth to pick it up. Then it happened...I was looking on Ebay and there it was. There was a Buy It Now for just the right price with everything we wanted and it was in Superior, WI. I called Kirk immediately and we bought it. I did hit the confirm button, but I made Kirk tell me it was his final answer.

We picked it up this last weekend. The weather was gorgeous and we stayed at Pattison State Park. It was cooler in the evening, but we had a heater:). Cade loved being outside and he even got to sleep with daddy. I have to admit that I am excited about using our camper as a family this summer. Just for the record, Kirk did chose this over a four wheeler with no pressure from me.
