Merry Christmas Mommy

Aren't kids cute? This year for Christmas, I wanted to give Shara a special gift that she could keep for a long time. It is always a good idea to get your kids on camera and have them say really cute things like "Merry Christmas" and "I love you, Mama."

Despite the fact that Cade and Ella were somewhat uncooperative, the video turned out pretty well. Note that I edited out all the fighting.

This year for Christmas we tried to be as conservative as possible. Not only did we not want to bring back a bunch of stuff that will never get used, or worse drive us nuts (loud toys that have batteries), but we also wanted to keep to our budget goals to be completely debt free except for the house in the next few months. So, it was homemade salsa for friends and stocking stuffers for the each other.

This year has been eventful to be sure. We have been very blessed and continue to marvel at all that God has done in our lives. His blessings are far greater than stuff, but rather they are everywhere we look. We give God the praise and glory for the great things He has done.
May God watch over you and your family this new year!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The Little Drummer Boy :: Video

Well, Cade got a Drum Set from a lady at church whose grandson was to big for it. I of course thought it was a great idea and immediately said yes to her offer! I knew what we were getting into, but Shara thought that she was a little too excited to see it packed up in the car. Having played drums for 23 years, I thought that it was a wise investment (free) to get him a drum set since I never got mine.

Here is a picture of Cade rocking out! He was so excited to get on the kit and start to jam. I was so excited to see him using both sticks and his foot!!!

We actually video taped his first couple tries, so don't laugh ~ this is like his first time ever on the drum set.

Also, this drum set is tiny. It is totally for little kids. That make it even more cute.

God Bless!
